Across the Country Fundraiser

Dear Friends,

We are two old friends taking a supported bicycle trip across the United States, from San Diego to St Augustine. We are traveling for 53 days, most of March and April. We are hoping to raise money and awareness about Magulilwa School, an amazingly successful secondary school in Central Tanzania.

Magulilwa School is supported by a U.S nonprofit, Change It Forward Foundation-Tanzania (CIFFT), a small group of family and friends who have worked successfully to support the school for the last ten years.

The website and the accompanying video can give you significant details about the school and its impact on a small village and its children. In its short life, Magulilwa School has been life changing for these children, most of whom had no access to education beyond the elementary level. The school has won annual awards for its achievements.

We are hoping to raise scholarship money so that the most gifted of these children, especially the girls who face extra obstacles to success, can complete two years of high school and be eligible for college.

The cost of two years of schooling in this poor country is only $1800.00. This sum provides the education, books and lodging for these youngsters.

We would like to raise one scholarship for each day we are riding, a bit over $95,000. We hope you can be generous.
